NUART Aberdeen 2017

Posted on March 15, 2017

Brought to you by the team behind Stavanger’s internationally renowned Nuart Festival, Nuart Aberdeen will see 11 international street artists bring a splash of colour to The Granite City this April. The festival takes place from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 April and will be supplemented by a program of talks, presentations, film screenings, walking tours and workshops over the course of the Easter Weekend.

Just like we are used to from the original Nuart festival in Stavanger, Norway. The Aberdeen edition will host some of the best names in street art today. Developed in collaboration with Aberdeen Inspired and Aberdeen City Council, Nuart Aberdeen will provide a platform for local, national and international artists to showcase their work through a series of site-specific murals, installations, interventions, and temporary exhibitions. One of which being Belgian stencil artist Jaune, who's wonderfully humorous works are still on show in our gallery as well. He will lighten up the city with his well know yellow sanitation workers who are up to no good! Apart from Jaune the Australian (with Scottisch roots!) Fintan Magee will also create a mural in Aberdeen. Magee is widely recognized as one of the leading figurative street artist and will surely deliver something special in Scotland. Elusive duo Herakut will also show and create new works!

Nuart Aberdeen will surely be a must-vist for anyone who loves street art and urban contemporary. So of course Vroom and Varossieau will update you on the latest and the greatest from the festival that takes place in "wee" Aberdeen coming Easter weekend!
